Hermit Hour is for adults only, and we have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). These standards explain what we prohibit, how we prevent it, and what to do if you see something.
What we prohibit
- Anyone under 18 using Hermit Hour.
- Any form of child sexual abuse or exploitation, including grooming or attempting to contact a minor.
- Sharing, requesting, or distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
- Misrepresenting your age or identity.
How we prevent it
- Everyone gives a date of birth when signing up, and anyone under 18 is refused. It can't be changed later.
- Sexual language is blocked automatically in messages and Moment descriptions.
- Reporting and blocking are available on every Moment, message, and profile, with a specific option for suspected underage users.
How to report
Use Report in the app and choose "Underage concern" or "Sexual misconduct". These reports are reviewed as our highest priority. You can also email safety@hermithour.com.
What we do
We remove content that breaks these standards and ban the accounts involved. We comply with applicable child safety laws and cooperate with law enforcement.
